Konza Technopolis (KT) is a key flagship project of Kenya’s Vision 2030 meant to position Kenya as a Regional Technology hub and a major economic driver for the nation. Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA), a state agency, is the special purpose vehicle overseeing the implementation of the project to smart city standards. As part of Phase 1, the Authority is operationalizing a Tier III National Data Centre (Konza Cloud) offering cutting edge cloud services to government and private enterprises. The Cloud has been positioned as your digital transformation platform offering innovative solution such as virtual servers, Virtual Machines, DR as a Service (DRaaS), Backup as a Service (BaaS), Web Hosting, eBoard, Email Hosting, ERP Hosting, Data Storage among others.

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is a cloud-based service that enables users to access virtual desktops and applications from any device with an internet connection. With Konza VDI service, users can access their virtual desktops and applications from anywhere, using a device with an internet connection, such as a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. The service allows users to work remotely and securely, without the need for expensive hardware or software.

Enable end users to access “virtual PCs” using Thin Clients (TCs).

Deploy an end-to-end solution that encompasses terminal, hardware, software, network, security, and consulting & design services.

VDI allows multiple-user desktops to run independently on VMs and share underlying physical hardware resources such as CPUs, memory, storage devices, and network connections.

Private suites, dedicated racks, and shared racks are all part of Konza National Data Center’s colocation offerings. Konza National Data Center offers additional services, including remote assistance, network monitoring, and cloud connectivity, in addition to colocation services, to assist companies in managing their IT infrastructure. Moreover, KNDC is carrier- neutral, allowing companies to select from a variety of network providers for their internet connectivity requirements.
